Have you been thanked, lately?
The hard work and passion that you show for the nonprofit sector are inspiring. Because of you, the hungry are being fed, art and music kept alive, and communities sustained. As one of YNPNmaine’s 100 members, you are supporting farmers throughout our state, providing animal-assisted therapy, and ensuring that Maine’s economically disadvantaged boys and girls get to go to summer camp.
I thank you.
As you sit down with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you feel appreciated. In a sector that values doing more with less, it’s important that we commend ourselves and each other for the work we are already doing. Thank yourself and thank your colleagues, friends, or family members who share your work in the nonprofit sector.
A year ago, when we started YNPNmaine, we could only have hoped for the generous and passionate members we have today. We’ve held over two dozen events, grown our membership to almost 100 individuals, and launched a new website. None of this would have been possible without you as our members.
We might not know what the year ahead holds for our country, but rest assured that YNPNmaine will be here for you. We will continue to offer space where nonprofit professionals can support each other during challenging times, and celebrate during exciting times.
Thank you for all that you do.
